Over the years, I have spent a lot of time studying portraiture, and this page reflects the variety of approaches I have explored. While I mainly work with acrylic paint, I have also branched out into other mediums to push my understanding of texture, technique, and mood. Each portrait study was a way for me to experiment with different styles and methods of expression. Some pieces focus more on realism, while others lean into abstraction or exaggeration of features to communicate different feelings or ideas. By trying out different techniques, color palettes, and materials, I was able to see how each decision changed the overall impact of the work. These studies have helped me build a stronger foundation in portraiture while also encouraging me to take creative risks and find new ways to represent emotion and personality through art.
