Angulous

The main goal of this design is to create a sculptural, sustainable lounge that feels both functional and artistic. From every viewpoint, the arrangement of the seats creates a new angle or perspective, making the space feel dynamic and constantly changing as people move through it. This use of shifting forms adds to the sculptural quality of the design, allowing the lounge to serve as both a gathering space and a piece of public art. The seats would be made from precast concrete, chosen for its durability, sustainability, and ability to form clean, modern shapes. To encourage nighttime use and enhance the visual experience after dark, each seat would feature recessed lighting on both sides. These subtle lights would not only make the space more inviting and safe at night but would also highlight the sculptural lines and create a soft, welcoming atmosphere that attracts people to linger and socialize.
